Grand Valley Vista

26 Monte Vista Ct,

Rye VIC 3941

Australia

Grand Valley Vista BnB is a fanatastic choice for families or groups travelling around the Mornington Peninsula area. It is a huge 5 bedroom accomodation that is modern, clean and spacious. There are 2 generously sized living rooms, a large outdoor entertainment area and a very well equipped kitchen.

Location

Grand Valley Vista is located close to the heart of Rye but in a quiet residential area. With its elevation, you get a sweeping vista across the peninsula. It is a short 5 mins drive to the local shops at Rye for access to cafes and beaches as well as Woolies if you require any groceries.

Our Stay

Did we need such a big space? Nope. But did we enjoy having such a big space? Yes definitely. We were only 2 couples and a dog but we enjoyed all 250 sqm of space. The configuration if you have a big group is:

Bedroom 1: 1 Queen Bed

Bedroom 2: 2 Full Beds

Bedroom 3: 1 Full Bed, 2 Bunk Beds

Bedroom 4: 1 Queen Bed

Bedroom 5: 1 Queen Bed

This makes it a very adaptable space, both for families with children or a friends get away. Though do note, that like many properties in Aus, there are only 2 toilets available.

We loved having a great selection of board games that is available in the Second Floor living space and also the Billiard table. When we were at Grand Valley Vista, we never felt bored. Apart from the living spaces, there are also 2 decks. One on the first floor where there was also pizza oven outside and a second floor covered deck with a gas BBQ and dining space.

In the vicinity, we have Peninsula hot springs just about a 10 min drive away. We ended up going to the hot springs in the evening and didn't have to worry about needing to do a big drive back to our accomodation in the evening. We also explored the Arthurs Seat area and Red Hill area, which was only a 20 min drive away. We thought Grand Valley Vista was an excellent base to explore in and around Mornington Peninsula.

Our Breakfast View from the Outdoor Deck
Our Breakfast View from the Outdoor Deck

Our favourite space of this property is the outdoor deck on the second floor. It was amazingly huge and had a gorgeous view out the Peninsula. This was often our choice for breakfast in the morning.

We loved the fact that Grand Valley Vista is pet-friendly and they allowed pets upon request with no additional charges. This is fantastic as we sometimes struggle to find accomodation that allow that. So if you are travelling with pets or in a group with pets, this is one accomodaion that you should definitely look at.

For our stay, we paid 400 AUD per night. This included all taxes and clean up charges. Do note that you have to stay a minimum of 2 nights and the prices increase with increasing number of guests. I believe the 400 AUD rate is applicable up to 6 guests. Another thing to note about holiday rentals in and around Victoria is that the accomodation provider will often ask for a bond and release this bond after you have departed and they have ensured their property has not been damaged. At Grand Valley Vista, we paid a 2000 AUD bond. Yes, the bond price is high and the value is usually higher the bigger the property is. We have not had any problems getting our bond back in the many stays we have had in and around Victoria. Grand Valley Vista is managed by Peninsula Holiday Rentals, one of the bigger holiday rental companies around the area.

Would We Recommend?

Yes! Grand Valley Vista is located in a convenient location in Rye. It is picture perfect and has a huge space to accomodate a large group and also pets. We stayed for the weekend after taking the ferry from Queenscliff over the Sorrento and appreciated this accomodation right at the tip of Mornington Peninsula and accessibility to all that we need around the Mornington Peninsula region.
