The Doha Edition
Our preferred Airline is Qatar Airways, which means we transit in Doha often. Doha is the less glitzy sibling of Dubai and for us, it represents a striking blend of tradition and modernity, where sleek skyscapers rise alongside ancient souqs. Our favourite stopover destination.

Adventures at Souq Waqif, Doha
The Souq Waqif in Doha, is absolute gem for anyone visiting Doha. Souq Waqif, means "the standing market" and is Doha's most iconic heritage marketplace, tracing its roots back more than a century ago to the banks of Wadi Musheireb. Originally a trading hub for Bedouins and locals exchanging livestock and goods, the souq has been meticulously restored to preserve its traditional Qatari archiecture - think mud daubed buildings, wooden beams and lantern lit alleys, into a moder

A Review of Musheireb Boutique Hotel, Doha
The Musheireb Boutique Hotel is nestled in the heart of the vibrant Souq Waqif district in Doha and is a true gem for travellers who have a short transit and would like to have an authentic Doha experience. The hotel is perfectly positioned and you have to just step outside and you are immediately surrounded by the bustling marketplace.

Adventures at the National Museum of Qatar
The National Museum of Qatar itself is a standout architecture which I think is worth visiting by itself. Once inside, you are fully immersed in the full height videos as well as the interactive panels. The curated selections were visually attractive, innovative and also educational. We thought it was very well designed and definitely a museum for all ages.

Adventures at the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha
The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) is unmissable. It is a striking monument that sits on its own island along the Corniche. The walk up to MIA is lined with palm trees and absolutely beautiful. The drop off area is located within the museum grounds but is not directly at the main museum entrance, so your view of the MIA is unblocked.

A Review of Afghan Brothers Restaurant, Doha
he goat mandi we had here was literally falling apart, and so flavourful. Served on top of a bed of long grain basmati rice, all mixed in with the juices from the goat mandi, was just too good. Whilst goat might be quite intimidating for many, middle eastern goat is seasoned really nicely with a variety of spices, the goat meat is never overpowering and is tender and succulent. A definite must try.

A Review of Mandarin Oriental, Doha
We had an exceptional stay at Mandarin Oriental, Doha. There are many top end hotels around Doha and I am sure they are also amazing, but MO always provides that little extra that I am looking for in a hotel stay. The feel of being at home and being taken care of.

Discover Qatar Tour - Dinner in the Desert
There is something otherworldly about the Qatari desert, it was a vast expanse where the dunes seem to ripple endlessly into the horizon. We enjoyed the thrill of dune bashing, the vastness and beauty of Qatar and then an amazing middle eastern feast in the middle of the desert.
