Our experience at Makkha Health and Spa has been extremely consistent across it's many branches. Having been to several locations now, we had the best massages at the Sukhumvit 24 branch and that is why I have recommended this particular branch. It also sits slightly outside of the main traffic congestion zone which makes it very convenient. Makkha Health and Spa is quite a new contender to the already saturated massage places in Bangkok, but we certainly think that it is one to stay.

As you walk into Makkha Health and Spa, you are greeted with a minimalist, light wood interior that is really soothing. It always starts at the entrance, where we are served some tea and rice crackers along with a refreshing scented cold towel. The team at the counter will then ask for some information about the massage pressure, areas that you want your masseuse to focus on or avoid. You also choose the oil that you will use if you do an oil massage.

We chose the 2 hr package which consisted of a foot massage and an aromatic oil massage. Interestingly, we originally tried to book on the direct website and it turned out to cost more than booking on trip.com which ended up offering the same thing at a lower cost. Well, we never say no to a discount do we?

The massage was fantastic, and the masseuse checked in on her pressure a couple of times. The foot massage was such a god-send. After a full day of walking around in Bangkok, it was so nice to get a dedicated hour of foot massage. She also really ironed out a lingering knot I've had in my shoulder and left me feeling so refreshed after the massage. We went as a travelling party of 4, and all 4 of us had fantastic massages, which is quite extraordinary. 4 out of 4 is definitely not the norm.

After the massage, we had a shower and then were treated to more tea as well as mango sticky rice, which we always say yes too.
