Snacking my way through Narita Omotesando on a flight layover

The Margaret River Truffle Farm in Cowaramup, Western Australia is located only 15 mins away from the main Margaret River town and is a rare chance to experience truffle hunting on a working farm. The Souq Waqif in Doha, is absolute gem for anyone visiting Doha. The National Museum of Qatar itself is a standout architecture which I think is worth visiting by itself. Once inside, you are fully immersed in the full height videos as well as the interactive panels. The curated selections were visually attractive, innovative and also educational. We thought it was very well designed and definitely a museum for all ages.

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) is unmissable. It is a striking monument that sits on its own island along the Corniche. The walk up to MIA is lined with palm trees and absolutely beautiful. The drop off area is located within the museum grounds but is not directly at the main museum entrance, so your view of the MIA is unblocked.

There is something otherworldly about the Qatari desert, it was a vast expanse where the dunes seem to ripple endlessly into the horizon. We enjoyed the thrill of dune bashing, the vastness and beauty of Qatar and then an amazing middle eastern feast in the middle of the desert.

Musee Marmottan Monet is not one of those large museums. However, it has a spectacular collection and remains a very intimate place to explore the pieces of Monet. If you love impressionism and you love Monet's art, this is a great museum to be in. I thought it was a great supplement to Giverny to see some of how his works evolved and his inspiration translated.

The exhibition at La Cite Du Vin Bordeaux was incredibly well thought out and there was something for everyone, regardless of age or prior wine knowledge. The exhibits were interactive and the audio guides worked very well. We learnt so much about wine, including impacts of climate change, the harvesting process, the varietals, the irrigation techniques through into experiencing the scents and smells.

Les Bassins des Lumieres was not just another art projection. It was breathtaking, immersive and unforgettable. Digital art of masters in a WWII submarine bunker - thats a perfect example of intersection of past and present. It was as educational as it was fascinating.

Located just outside of Bordeaux city, is Les Halles de Bacalan, a modern food hall that opened in 2017 and has quickly become a favourite amongst locals and travellers. It was a little of a foodie paradise for us and we were glad we were able to find some time before visiting Cite du Vin to visit this food hall.

The No Diet Club Bordeaux Food tour is a fantastic way to get oriented around Bordeaux if it is your first time. It is also a great way to speak to someone local and understand the history of Bordeaux as a port city and how that influenced the cuisine around. Whilst we wouldn't consider ourselves to have a sweet tooth, it was nice to indulge and never felt like too much. Our experience at Makkha Health and Spa has been extremely consistent across it's many branches. Having been to several locations now, we had the best massages at the Sukhumvit 24 branch and that is why I have recommended this particular branch. It also sits slightly outside of the main traffic congestion zone which makes it very convenient.
