Cherry Garden by Chef Fei
Cherry Garden by Chef Fei at Mandarin Oriental Singapore reopened in July 2025 with a refreshed modern look featuring the hotel's updated MO modern colour palette. The restaurant has contemporary touches with subtle oriental design. We thought it felt more elegant and serene as compared to the previous dark wood theme.

The Coffee Market Lab, Osaka
The Coffee Market Lab in Osaka is a recommendation provided just before we flew off to Japan. It also happened to be really close to the hotel we stayed at so we made it a point to drop by to check it out. I tend to be a bit skeptical when the shop is full of tourists and I must say most of the people in the shop were tourists with a few locals coming in to do take aways. However, that skepticism went away the moment we had our first sip.

Scarpetta - Pasta hype or here to stay?
Scarpetta has been on the list of to try for a period of time now. For some reason, it keeps evading us. So one day on a very rainy mid week, we decided to head down to Scarpetta. We arrived at 7pm and were told that the next seating would be between 8.15-8.45pm. There was not so much to do so we hung around and waited. In the next ten minutes, another 4-5 groups put their names down and the next available seating was now 9.15-9.45. That is the popularity of Scarpetta in the

Cullen Wines - Rustic Biodynamic Haven in Margaret River
Rustic, homely, quality food served with biodynamic wines in a gorgeous historic vineyard is a winner. Cullen Wines have a strong philosphy around biodynamic farming and this is well integrated in both the cuisine as well as their wines. We thought we were coming for the wines, but we left loving the food.

Hearth Restaurant Review at Ritz Carlton Perth
Hearth aims to showcase seasonal menus using produce from around Western Australia. If you visit the Hearth webpage, they actually list down some of the producers that they work with, including Tucker Bush for native plants, The Mushroom Guys for gourmet mushrooms, Raeburn Orchards for stonefruits, Blazing Saddles for chillis as well as Charlotte Creek for edible florals. I love the ethos of this, knowing exactly where your produce is coming from and what is in season.

A Review of Afghan Brothers Restaurant, Doha
he goat mandi we had here was literally falling apart, and so flavourful. Served on top of a bed of long grain basmati rice, all mixed in with the juices from the goat mandi, was just too good. Whilst goat might be quite intimidating for many, middle eastern goat is seasoned really nicely with a variety of spices, the goat meat is never overpowering and is tender and succulent. A definite must try.

Caracara sits at 77 Neil Road, right in the heart of Tangjong Pagar. Housed in a heritage shophouse, the restaurant shares its address with the Michelin-starred Chaleur, which we previously reviewed. Step inside Caracara and you are greeted by a bright, sleek interior with some gorgeous wooden features. A Review of D'rim: Korean bbq in Mandarin Gallery, Singapore
D'rim is definitely more expensive than most k-BBQ places but the service is premium and the ingredients are premium. Their side dishes are also uncommon, including wild garlic leaves and watersnail tofu gang deon jang. This was our second time at this restaurant and I am sure there will be plenty more.
