You know a good pie shop when the shop is full of tradies at lunch time. That pie shop is Country Cob Bakery in Boronia. The Country Cob Bakery has a slew of awards, including Australia's Best Pie Maker in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023 and having a number of Bests. Best Seafood Pie, Best Gourmet Pie, Best Pepper Beef Pie and the lists just go on.

We visited Meh'r by Chef Inderpal for a tasting menu! The entry to Meh'r is via Carpenter street. As we were walking down this way, I kept asking my dinner partner whether we are actually on the right track. But watch out for the large yellow door! Thankfully, this building is newly renovated and has lift access. So no walking up 5 flights of stairs.

We are back at Banyan Tree Bangkok, this time at the 2 bedroom serenity club suite. For those who have a Mastercard, Banyan tree offers a stay 2 nights and get the third night free promotion which is worth looking at. This includes early check in and late check out as well as complimentary breakfast.

Conrad Bangkok sits in a very nice bucket of affordable and good quality and it is somewhere I would consider for just a quick getaway where I anticipate to be in the middle of Bangkok city alot and am not considering spending alot of time to use the facilities and amenities around the hotel. For a non frills, good quality hotel, Hilton always delivers.

We had a really good stay at Shangri-La Bangkok. It is a solid hotel stay. Whilst there are the high end places like Four Seasons, Capella and Mandarin Oriental just around the corner, Shangri-La provides a good balance between value and a good hotel stay.
